    Insolvency Administrator

    Job Description

    Business Unit: Deal Advisory, Cape Town

    Reporting to: Jacques Pienaar / Jurgens Steenkamp

    Purpose Of The Job

    The undermentioned duties all pertain to the administration of curatorships, insolvent estates and companies being wound up in accordance with the relevant legislations.

    These duties need to be performed within certain time limits and if not adhered to leads to a delay in the finalization of the estate and the ultimate payment of fees to the firm. Hence the duties need to be attended to in a precise and timeous manner.

    Efficiency, diplomacy, decision-making and being compassionate towards clients, plays a significant role in the administration of an insolvent estate.

    The position is in fact far more intricate and each matter is different. Communication and correspondence to and from clients/insolvents/Master of the High Court is done on the initiative of the estate administrator with knowledge of the estates being administered.

    • Administration of voluntary liquidations of solvent companies
    • Administration of curatorship matters

    Qualifications And Experience

    • SARIPA certificate in Insolvency Law and Practice is preferable
    • PC literacy, MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Grade 12
    • A minimum of 5 years’ previous experience in a corporate/professional working environment
