Primarily promoting and selling African safari holiday destinations to high profile international clientele, your in-depth knowledge of Southern Africa luxury safari, having walked with lions, feed rhinos and listened to the trumpeting sounds of elephants while composing your next musical piece - Oh and … accommodation, which includes information on the relevant parks, reserves, lodges, highlights and the relevant ground handling and transport options, will greatly benefit the client, while all you do is share what you already know, being dynamic and well spoken.

JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Telephonic consultation with international clientele,interested in booking tailor-made safaris and package tours.
- Providing general and specific advice about different travel destinations, in other words,
- Wowing clients with your knowledge on African Safaris
- Drawing up of complicated, yet attractive travel itineraries that meet the client's budget and
- expectations
- Making suitable arrangements with lodges, airlines, hotels, tour operators, car rental and transfer companies etc..
- Advising the client about travel issues including required documentation and financial
- matters such as appropriate exchange rates
- Being yourself and providing happiness in supporting clients before, during and after travel - ensuring African Safari Group clients stay African Safari Group Clients.
- Collecting and dealing with client payments
- Approving supplier invoices for payments
- Performing general administration tasks
- Dealing with and documenting complaints in an efficient and diplomatic manner
- Making alternative arrangements for clients who have had their trips interrupted be unforeseen issues
REQUIREMENTS
- Expert knowledge of the Southern Africa luxury holiday destinations
- Well travelled in Southern Africa
- Extensive experience in dealing with high profile clients
- Excellent supplier relationships
- Positive, enthusiastic and friendly attitude
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Ability to cope well under pressure
- Ability to meet sales targets
- Excellent sales skills, both over the telephone and face-to-face
- Excellent telephone skills
- Good computer literacy
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Competent grasp of geography
- Understanding of Forex
- Assisting your team members when they are on leave
PACKAGE
Well above market related salaries for Senior Travel Consultants. This will be a combination of basic and commission based compensation.
