Finance Business Partner at Sage

Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to provide insight into performance and future opportunities for growth. The role holder will lead the
finance business partnering relationship with their respective Business Head and will cover Sage X3, Sage 300 and Sage Evolution.

Reporting to the Africa VP Finance, you will proactively engage with senior business leaders to provide strategic level finance decision support while driving and
monitoring business performance to maximise growth opportunities, drive revenue management and analysis and support with controlable margin management.

Key Responsibilities

• Acting as trusted partner to business leader and take full ownership for the financial performance of the segment
• Provide proactive commercial decision making and financial support for business activities
• Acting as the “shop window” of finance – owner of business relationships and drive process enhancements within finance to better service your business unit.
• Advocate for finance and key change agent in the finance organisation,
• Utilising insightful financial information and analysis to create actions which support or challenge business decisions
• Ensuring effective support for investment and spend decisions including for example robust ROI on investments, ongoing review of spend
• Ensuring excellence in governance is adopted and adhered to

Must Have

Skills, know-how and experience:

• 3-5 years post qualified. CA (SA), CIMA
• Commercially aware with proven ability to identify and drive strategy
• Strong business acumen to review and advise on revenue management preferably within software of a subscriptions business
• Proactive and solution focused with high attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to act as a business partner
• Ambitious, driven nature, able to operate in a high growth and fast paced environment
• Ability to drive improvements in processes related to forecasting
