    Graduate Recruitment Officer

    Job Description

    Business Unit: HR Recruit- Johannesburg

    Reporting to: National Graduate Recruitment Manager

    Purpose Of The Job

    The purpose of this role is to assist in the coordination and management of the delivery of world class graduate services to ensure that KPMG recruits a diverse pool of graduate talent to meet the changing needs of its business

    Reporting to the Graduate Recruitment Manager, the Recruitment Consultant will have primary responsibility for the day-to-day operations and administration of school programmes and co-ordination of the national bursary scheme.

    Key Job Duties Or Responsibilities

    The Administrator will be responsible for the following:

    • Screening candidate’s applications for Audit and Advisory and inviting candidates for assessments and interviews
    • Inspect applications received through the HR ATS system, email or CV drop offs to ensure if minimum criteria is met
    • Communication via phone or email with successful and unsuccessful candidates
    • Inviting successful candidates for Assessments
    • Uploading iPad/SMS results
    • Co-coordinating the vacation work programme
      • Allocating successful candidates to the various business units
      • Drafting and sending offer letters to the successful candidates
      • Ordering and packing of stationery.
      • Preparation of a welcome pack for the students
      • Preparation of the vacation payment schedule at the end of the programme
      • Capturing the ratings of the student’s performance received from the business units.
      • Providing detailed communication to students for the Group Assessment/ Interview day
      • Confirming their attendance telephonically or via email well in advance
      • Communicating with the caterers to ensure refreshments have been arranged on the day
      • Preparing all the material required prior to the day i.e. register, name badges, assessment/ interview notes, assessment materials
    • Career Fairs and university projects
    • Engaging with universities to book career stands
    • Setting up the KPMG stand on university career days
    • Hosting briefing sessions for attendees
    • Project managing various university projects
    • Giving career advice to students
    • Administration of the Job Shadowing programme
      • Reviewing Job Shadow requests received from the Manager or other source
      • Contacting the Business Units to establish a suitable time to accommodate the request
      • Communication via phone or email with successful and unsuccessful candidates
      • Preparation and sending of relevant documentation to be completed by the student
      • Inspect applications received through the HR ATS system, email or CV drop offs to ensure if minimum criteria is met
      • Shortlisting candidates who meet the minimum criteria and
      • Communication via phone or email with successful and unsuccessful candidates
      • Maintaining a spreadsheet to track the record of all bursary holders
    • Administration of the bursary programme
    • Maintaining a spreadsheet to track the record of all bursary holders
    • Administering the LPCAT assessment for Grade 12 learners
    • Summarising the results of the candidates and proposing an initial amount for the Manager’s approval
    • Drafting, issuing and filing bursary contracts
    • Preparing the bursary payments for approval and review by the Manager
    • Identifying top performing schools
    • Communicating with the school teacher to invite them for a school day

    • Good communications skills, both orally and in writing
    • Able to prioritise effectively and accept responsibility
    • Good team player
    • Must be able to work under pressure and deal with large volumes
    • The ability to manage multiple tasks

    • Able to work under pressure
    • Able to deal effectively with individuals at all levels, but especially senior levels
    • Computer literate
    • Prepared to travel and be away from home for extended periods
    • Proactive

    Qualifications And Experience

    • 2-3 years’ experience working in an HR/Recruitment role or client-service role delivering a professional recruitment service to a demanding client base.
    • Graduate recruitment background
    • Experience in an internal/in-house recruitment environment will be preferred
    • Agency experience would be an advantage
    • HR/Relevant tertiary qualification
