    Supervisor (Life Insurance)

    Job description

    Alexander Forbes is looking for a Portfolio Manager to oversee the effective management and functioning of an administration team servicing clients within the Alexander Forbes Life Retail department in the Retail Administration cluster of the Operations and Technology Division.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • At least 4 years’ experience in the long-term insurance industry
    • At least 2 years’ managerial experience
    • Relevant working knowledge in client servicing, new business and/or claims departments
    • Possible exposure to funeral products

    Accountabilities

    Job Specification:

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Accountable for incoming and outgoing instructions, within the agreed service level agreement, and in accordance with the latest checklists and procedure guides.
    • Accountable for ensuring processes and procedures are followed and to be abreast of legislative changes.
    • In the absence of the Admin Manager you will be expected to lead the team and manage the workflow as well as service clients.
    • Communicate accurate, in depth information on time as and when required through MS CRM, telephone, and email that is specific and case related to clients and within the different areas within Alexander Forbes.
    • Oversee management of the team mailbox within the agreed service level agreement.
    • Act to ensure zero financial and reputational loss for the administration teams

    Technical and behavioral competencies:

      • Sound knowledge of individual risk benefits and new business processing procedures.
