Even though this is an intern opportunity, full starting salaries apply and you will receive guidance, mentoring and comprehensive training, you will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a gentle, nurturing and kind environment. Amongst skills that you will be taught include;
Overseeing centralised journal processing and assisting with preparing and communicating financial forecasts.
Ensure financial statement accuracy and compliance, while keeping financial records organised and up to date.
Prepare and maintain the Loan Schedule, reconcile bank statements, and contribute to maintaining financial integrity.
Support quarterly reporting and assist with audits, gaining exposure to both internal and external processes.
Enjoy a hybrid work model, with 3 days a week at the office in Cape Town or Centurion.
What you need:
A relevant tertiary qualification is essential - BAcc, BCom, ND or BTech - specialising in accounting, business accounting or finance would be ideal.
Proficiency in English for effective communication in a business environment.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced modelling, and creating charts/graphs.
