• The Commercial Pricing team has an exciting opportunity for an Actuarial Analyst to meaningfully contribute to the pricing strategy.

Purpose of the role:

• To support the Actuarial BI Manager with pricing, monitoring, and analytical functions within HI R&U to ensure target profitability levels are achieved. This will include data analysis, identifying trends, decision-making and developments of dashboards and reports.
• Contribute towards growth, efficiency, and sustainability objectives of the Company.

Required Knowledge and Experience    
Knowledge

• Computer literate
• Strong Mathematical Foundation
• Monitoring and evaluation of systems and processes.
• Statistical software knowledge

Skills

• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Business Acumen
• Data manipulation
• SQL (including SSRS)
• Advanced MS Office, particularly Excel
• Object-Oriented Programming skills are advantageous
• Sound verbal and written communication

Experience

• 0-3 years’ experience in a short-term actuarial environment, in any of the following fields (Business Intelligence, Actuarial, Commercial, Specialist insurance lines).
• Statistical software or programming experience
• Experience building Power BI reports

Educational Requirements    

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science
• Studying towards becoming a Qualified Actuary in the Short-Term Industry
