    Administrator: Intruder Detection System

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Administrative:

    • Maintain relevant and up-to-date records of all alarm equipment installed for auditing and planned maintenance purpose
    • Maintain drawings, specifications and maintenance register
    • Conduct audits on existing systems and recommend upgrades/replacements where needed
    • Manage Service Level Agreement (SLA) with approved vendors and take appropriate action on anomalies and non-conformance
    • Keep a record of job requests and regularly capture all details on the Onkey 5 maintenance management system.  

    Alarm System Maintenance:

    • Responsible for assigning user rights and access codes
    • Managing security alarm installations
    • Responsible for the delivery of services in line with service level agreements
    • Commissioning and administering of new and existing installations
    • Provide a general maintenance function to quickly analyse and resolve maintenance issues
    • Manage the Patriot alarm monitoring software and maintain a healthy and accurate database.
    • Maintain effective communication with the Building Managers and other stakeholders
    • Source and control parts and spares

    Minimum Requirements

    Consequently you essentially require:

    • A senior certificate and Electronic Trade Certificate 
    • 3-5 years of experience in the electronic security industry at the supervisory level.
    • PSIRA registered
    • A valid driver’s licence (code EB) with 2 years driving experience
    • Technical knowledge of electronic security systems, specifically in DSC alarm systems and the Patriot Alarm monitoring software
    • Ability to work without supervision
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
    • Good knowledge of health & safety requirements in the workplace
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Good computer literacy, basic database and network skills
