    Administrator: Safety, Health and Environment (SHE)

    Job description

    Departmental and SHE System Administration -

    • Provide administrative services to the SHE unit in accordance with SHE policies and processes. Perform the admin requirements relating to SHE ISO systems. Perform general administration for the SHE unit include filing, data entry, typing and assisting in the management of communications, paperwork and diary management.
    • Act as primary contact person for SHE with regards to other administrative support departments. Manage incoming enquiries and correspondence and handle or direct to appropriate staff.
    • Assist with travel arrangements and expense tracking for SHE unit employees. Organise training, departmental meetings, and facilitate audits. Arrange regular meetings with Health and Safety representatives. Check and ensure that training is up to date. Manage safety files, Contractor packs, and the filing system. Manage training records for all stakeholders.

     Records Management - 

    • Manage SHE unit SharePoint portal. Ensure department records/files are maintained in accordance with ATNS’ Records Management prescripts.

     SHE Incident Management  - 

    • Assist with workers’ compensation claims administration as necessary, by maintaining claim files, requesting claims information, and submission of claims.Act as the system administrator for COMPEASY. Prepare timely and accurate incident/accident data reports. Analyse statistics relating to accident/incident data to provide trending information by cause, site and location
    • Manage the OHS incident register. Act as a liaison with the DoE. Submit monthly reports on incidents, near misses, injuries, and corrective actions taken to avoid reoccurrence of incidents.

    Minimum requirements

    Minimum Qualifications 

    • Grade 12 (Matric), studying towards bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Safety Management, Environmental sciences/management/health or related fields.
    • Certificate of training on SAMTRAC, OHSA, SMS or related

       Experience

    • Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (will be an advantage if in a corporate environment
