    Role Clarification & Key Performance Areas

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and supportive Faculty dedicated to teaching and research, as well as to overall student development. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and willing to make a significant contribution to the development of the Faculty.

    The successful candidate for the vacant position in the Department of Criminal Justice and Procedure will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Facilitate learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in criminal justice and procedure
    • Conduct research and publish in criminal justice and procedure
    • Undergraduate and postgraduate supervision
    • Academic administration
    • Curriculum development and assessment
    • Community engagement

    Minimum Requirements

    • LLM or equivalent, preferably in the field of criminal justice and procedure

    The following will serve as a strong recommendation in being considered for appointment:

    • registration for, progress with, or completion of a doctoral degree
    • publications
    • experience in the facilitation of learning and teaching
    • supervision experience, and/or
    • a professional qualification and/or practical experience

    • Presentation and facilitation skills
    • Adaptability and the ability to operate in a diverse environment
    • Student-focused approach
    • Planning and organising skills
    • Computer literacy and e-learning skills
