Job Description

• A leading grower, packer and exporter of premium citrus and table grapes in South Africa. With our head office in Tyger Valley and production units across the Western Cape, we combine tradition with innovation to deliver excellence.
• This new BI Specialist role at head office will report to the BI Manager and is designed to grow into a strategic partner in driving data-driven decision-making across the business

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Champion systems use and train users to ensure accurate data feeds into the BI platform
• Conduct business and systems analysis to unlock value from existing resources
• Support development and maintenance of the BI platform, including ETL, data modelling, database analysis and dashboard/report development
• Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for management
• Troubleshoot data and system issues to ensure reliability and accuracy
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to align BI outputs with operational and strategic needs

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Matric plus a relevant tertiary qualification
• 5+ years' experience in data management and BI environments
• Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English
• A self-starter with initiative, strong administrative aptitude and the ability to work independently under pressure
• Disciplined, detail-oriented and focused on accuracy and reliability
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to production units (farms and pack houses) across the Western Cape

Knowledge and Skills:

• BI Tools: Qlik Sense SaaS or Qlik Sense Enterprise / QlikView (essential), Microsoft Power BI (advantageous)
• Industry Systems: Farm Costing Solutions (Crest wages and Farm Manager), Paltrack (packing, logistics, fruit accounting), Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) (finance), Google Earth Pro
• Technical Skills: SQL, JSON and APIs (essential), AI and Microsoft Teams(advantageous)
• Industry knowledge: Fruit growing, packing and export

Salary:

• A market related total cost to company (TCTC) package with pension fund benefits is offered
