PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• To provide functional and administrative support for the Business Information Services Department in the System Development environment.

BUSINESS PROCESSES 

System Development:

• Develop and modify programs, reports, and scripts based on defined specifications with some direct supervision.
• Troubleshoot program problems and failures and work with specialists to resolve issues.
• Develop and modify technical documentation to support application maintenance, operations and end-user training.
• Assist with Systems training. 
• Identify and justify site-specific variations including reports, developments, interfaces etc.
• Manage and execute testing of changes.
• Provide general level 1 support to end users.

Office Support:

• Assist BIS Specialists with master data administration.
• Manage user access/authorisations to Systems.
• Maintain the Systems Support office function, including:
• Assist in the 24 hour support function to the end-user.
• SYSDEV portal content administration
• Documentation

• Coordination on Management of Change documentation and communication

Requirements

Minimum qualifications

• Grade 12 / N3 (Maths and Science)
• 3 Year Diploma in Software Development
