    Campaign Manager - Umhlanga

    KEY OUTPUTS:

    • Full Campaign Brand Management, including liaison with all team members regarding campaign roll-out (establishing involvement and responsibility)
    • Development of Campaign Plans
    • Presentation of Campaign Plans to Client.
    • Oversee briefing and manage relationship with designers, managing brand collateral roll-out on all campaigns.
    • Execution and project management of all promotional aspects of campaigns.
    • Drafting and ensuring contracts and relevant documentation is in place with all suppliers and managing 3rd party suppliers in terms of delivery according to contract.
    • Briefing suppliers, evaluating costings and making budget recommendations to manager.
    • Tracking campaign progress on a daily/weekly basis to advise on any necessary adjustments needed.
    • Management of casual and event promotional staff.
    • Sponsorships (drafting proposals and conducting negotiations, execution of sponsorship deals and value offers).
    • Responsible for Post Campaign reports presentation to manager, client and sponsors.
    • Writing and over-seeing of all marketing award entries.
    • Strategise and formulate ideas for events and filler events.
    • Transform event ideas into concepts for clients (and present to client)
    • Ensures that centre management, clients, suppliers and tenants remain informed about the events, progress, problems, incidents, etc. (via e-mail, sms, calls, visits, etc.).
    • Executes / implements events and attends events
    • Draws up budgets for sign-off by clients
    • Manages events budgets (annual budgeting, tracking expenditure, corrective action)
    • Monitor events clients (to conform to standards and agreements)
    • Prepares weekly reports in specified format (including budgets, targets, progress etc.)
    • Ensures that website is updated and up to standard (regarding events).
    • General admin around events (e.g. creates and distributes applicable documentation, do confirmations, ensure contracts are in place, follow application approval procedure, give feedback, monitors progress, etc.).
    • Negotiates terms, conditions, standards, location, price, deliverables etc. with various role players (e.g. mall management, events clients, suppliers)
    • Meets with events clients and informs them (e.g. procedure, standards, conditions, feedback, listen to requests, etc.)
    • Attends to queries and requests from all role players around events. Escalate, follow-up and feedback where applicable.
    • Keeps all role players informed of important incidents, progress, plans, campaigns, feedback, etc.
    • Ensures that self and assistant create realistic expectations and meet them (including appointments, keep promises, follow-up, handling of queries)
    • Ensures cooperation, synergy and effective communication between own and other departments at Lifestyle
    • Networking with role players to raise awareness / image and to enhance cooperation & flow of information.
    • Professional conduct and professional physical appearance in public (self and assistant)
    • Drafting of PR Strategy for the centre.
    • Management of PR Strategy execution:  general and campaign related.
    • Management of incident response PR releases, ensuring compliance with incident response PR strategies.
    • Second point of contact for customer queries or complaints.
    • Media liaison & management
    • Media monitoring
    • Put in place clear work plans, quality and delivery standards, targets, deadlines, etc.
    • Put in place control systems to ensure timely delivery on required standard.
    • Keep assistant informed (progress, problems, customer feedback, future planning, etc.)
    • Identify performance problems, and take immediate corrective action.
    • Coach for development and corrective action purposes.
    • Make resources available to enable delivery on standard, on time.
    • Thorough planning and analyses reflected in budgeting. Effective and pro-active budget controls were in place.
    • Events clients conformed to agreements. Effective corrective actions were taken without undue delay.
    • Reports were accurate, complete, on time and in agreed format.
    • Website up to date and up to standard regarding events
    • Accurate, complete, timeous. Procedures followed.
    • Reflected in negotiations were thorough preparation, skill, tact and win-win outcomes (where appropriate).
    • Role players were informed accurately, clearly and timeously. Issues were addressed pro-actively where practically possible.
    • Problems, queries and requests were dealt with effectively and according to procedure – to the satisfaction of role players where practically possible.
    • Feedback and information flow met the expectations of role players
    • Realistic expectations were created by self and assistant (internally and externally) and met as far as practically possible.
    • Effective cooperation between own and other departments achieved and maintained. Problems were dealt with effectively without delay
    • Relationships were built / maintained - to the effect that cooperation and effective flow of information were achieved wherever practically possible.
    • Self and assistant created trust, contributed to the building of positive company image at all times.
    • Strategy recommendations were relevant, the result of thorough analyses.
    • PR Targets Met.
    • Press releases were effective (met impact expectations) and met agreed standards.
    • Problems / queries escalated to this level are dealt with effectively, to the satisfaction of the client where practically possible.
    • Agreements executed, accurate
    • Monthly PR report
    • Clear & up to date standards, work plans, targets (high but achievable) and deadlines are in place.
    • Effective control measures are in place - things happen as planned.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Retail experience preferential

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    • Have a clear and thorough knowledge of marketing principles.
    • Preferably have centre marketing experience (but not essential)
    • Understand and have experience in dealing with related fields – advertising, PR, on line, social media, media in general, events and promotions.
    • Strong strategic ability.
    • Ability to contribute strategically to internal and external senior management
    • Ability to analyse accurately and provide efficient solutions
    • Ability to make decisions that lead to optimal results
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Effective utilisation of resources
    • Have extensive knowledge of and practical experience in putting events/promotions together and the execution thereof.
    • Must have exceptional inter personal skills, must have worked in a service related capacity (Client/tenant relationships)
    • Must be able to manage a team – good leadership skills.
    • Must have attention to detail and excellent admin skills.
    • Must have good negotiating and persuasive skills
    • Must have an excellent command of English – verbal & written.

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Tertiary Marketing qualification preferred.
