    Client Engagement Executive (EMEA)

    • Are you an experienced Market Researcher who has a passion for winning new business? Do you like opening new doors and building those vital client relationships? Do you enjoy answering client briefs by preparing compelling and technically accurate proposals?
    • We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated, experienced and passionate individual to join our EMEA based Commercial Team.
    • We have seen rapid growth globally but have yet to fully realise our potential in across EMEA. We have a wide portfolio of tools covering the entire FMCG innovation process. Our clients include R&D, CMI/consumer insights and marketing functions.
    • We are looking for a candidate to hunt out incremental accounts and prepare proposals for clients.

    About our opportunity...

    • You will be working with commercially minded colleagues across South Africa and Europe.
    • Your role will be split into Africa/Middle East outreach and proposal preparation for Europe.
    • Outreach will focus on generating conversations with new clients through phone, email and networking via LinkedIn. You will need to be a naturally organized and determined individual, able to follow a prospecting cadence on a weekly basis. KPIs will be set based on activity and number of qualified briefs received. You will be playing an integral role in laying the foundations and developing the client relationship
    • Proposal preparation will focus on preparing RFQs, cost sheets and PPT proposals in response to client briefs. You will be supported with research design by Technical Sales and method experts across the business. As this role requires both a tenacity for selling as well as a solid understanding of research, we will consider a range of backgrounds.

    As part of the role you will:

    • Research and identify new business opportunities, working to convert new leads into qualified briefs
    • Develop and build new business relationships via direct outreach such as phone, email and LinkedIn
    • Work closely with client account managers to identify dormant accounts to target
    • Look for opportunities to refer other briefs to the wider MMR Group
    • Collaborate closely with marketing to create new initiatives that drive enquiries and sales
    • Prepare technically accurate and compelling proposals
    • Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate


    You will have:

    • A minimum 3 years' experience within the research industry
    • Experience selling research services to clients of all sizes, ideally in FMCG (food, beverage, personal care, household care etc.)
    • Experience in sensory and consumer product testing would be beneficial
    • Experience in driving sales growth
    • Proven experience managing a large number of leads and clients
    • Be experienced in developing new business relationships from scratch
    • Be highly customer service focused, and a great listener to their needs
    • Be a self-starter with a great work ethic that is highly motivated to achieve
    • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
    • Be able to empathise with researchers, whilst avoiding being bogged down with executional detail
    • Possess exceptional interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills
    • Possess good understanding of PPT
    • Have experience in fully utilising a CRM system
