The Data Capturer is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining various types of data within the company's information systems. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately enter data from source documents into relevant databases, spreadsheets, or systems.
Review and verify data for completeness, correctness, and compliance with established standards.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in information and obtain further information for incomplete documents.
Maintain confidentiality and security of all company data.
Assist in preparing regular reports and summaries as directed by management.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure data consistency and quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Matric certificate or equivalent; additional qualifications in data processing or administration will be an advantage.
Maximo or GSI knowledge will be advantage.
Understanding of serialization.
Proven experience in data entry, data capture, or a related administrative role.
Excellent report writing, presentation skills, and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data management systems.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
