Your responsibilities will include:

Process Improvement and Optimization

• Have a full understanding of operational process and systematic flows to enable process improvements
• Assist operations with good system practice & change management
• Capture, design, and make recommendations to process flow through risk, security, and productivity gap analysis
• Project manage assigned improvements and initiatives from design to implementation & execution
• Suggest and implement continuous improvement projects relating to process improvements
• Provide auditing and gap analysis on processes and procedures
• Apply lean methodologies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency
• Develop and deliver presentations to communicate complex processes to non-technical audiences
• Conduct regular benchmarking initiatives to stay competitive in the industry

Training and Development

• Develop and maintain work standards and characteristics that promote efficient staff and facility utilisation
• Assist in the coaching of staff towards meeting and exceeding performance expectations for quantity, quality, timeliness, and efficiency
• Demonstrate, train and enforce Operational “Best Practices”
• Develop training material for new equipment and processes
• Provide solutions regarding operational training, methodologies, and onboarding procedures which include working instructions and training material
• Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure they can effectively execute all operational processes & systematic understanding

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Compliance

• Routinely audit Operational SOPs
• Constant engagement with the workforce on the operational floor to evaluate SOP adherence and training requirements
• Responsible for the rollout and upkeep of training administration automation which includes training material access, assessments, and sign-off procedures
• Ensure ongoing updating and creation of SOPs for current and new processes
• Responsible for the creation, automation, and upkeep of the SOP database
• Complete time & motion studies in respective facilities

Attributes and Qualifications :

• BEng, BCom Logistics, BCom Supply Chain & Operations Management, or similar degree
• 2 - 3 years field experience in staff training / staff development and/or process implementation
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience within DC Operations or eCommerce Industry
• Minimum 1 year working with WMS systems such as Oracle, Logfire, Manhattan, Red Prairie, SAP, Highjump or similar
• Experience in BEST OPERATING PRACTICES
• Experience in Continuous improvement / Six Sigma
• Strong People management affinity
• High level of proficiency with MS Office packages
• Process fault finding and resolution
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
