Deputy Director: Campus Planning & Development at University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The key objective of the Deputy Director: Campus Planning and Development is to manage the allocated portfolio of responsibilities and to contribute actively to departmental management as a senior member of the Department. The following is included in the portfolio:

• Campus Spatial Development and Capital Planning;
• Professional Services;
• Property and Commercial Services Management;
• Project Management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• A relevant Honours degree or related qualification, equivalent to NQF Level 8, with at least eight (8) years of relevant experience, of which at least three (3) years must have been in a managerial role within facilities management, construction, or another relevant environment in a medium to large organisation.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following areas:

• Strategic management;
• Contract management, including a basic understanding of procurement processes and contractual agreements;
• Project management;
• Property management;
• Waste management;
• Landscape and sports field management;
• Industrial hygiene;
• Space planning, master planning, and design;
• Financial, human resources, and administrative management;
• National Building Regulations, Contract Law, and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
• Relevant Professional registration.
