Director: HRIS Data Product Owner at NTT Ltd.

HRIS Data Product Owner is a people management role responsible for operationally managing Data Modelling and Analysis for HRIS. In addition to managing a team, this role will drive the adoption of HR Data Modelling and analytics within NTT Ltd.

The primary responsibility of this job is to ensure data-driven solutions that add HR business value using statistical models, machine learning algorithms, data mining, and visualization techniques are created and delivered.

Key roles and responsibilities:

• Operationally manage a team of HR Data Analysts to ensure achievement of team objectives/KPIs
• Collaborates with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive HR business solutions
• Research, design, implement and deploy scalable HR data analytics vision and machine learning solutions to challenge complex business issues
• Extends company’s data with third party sources of information when needed
• Enhances data collection procedures to include HR information that is relevant for building analytic systems
• Processes, cleanses, and verifies the integrity of data used for analysis, and building algorithms necessary to find meaningful answers
• Performs analysis using programming languages or statistical packages such as Python and R etc.
• Mines and analyzes data to drive optimization and improvement of HR business strategy
• Architects scalable and highly available applications leveraging the latest tools and technologies
• Creatively visualizes and effectively communicates results of data analysis, insights, and ideas in a variety of formats to key decision-makers within the business
• Takes ideas to successful launch by leading and mentoring diverse, geo-distributed teams through innovation, bootstrapping, pilot, production, scaling, and maintenance phases with multiple stakeholders to the highest levels of quality and performance
• Develops SQL Queries for reports and dashboards
• Analyzes relational and transactional databases to provide data analysis, and present results in a clear manner
• Creates documentation around processes and procedures and manage code reviews
• Applies industry standards best practices to development activities
• Works on data set to ensure solutions are successfully executed, within agreed upon time frames
• Continuously coach and mentor team to understand and apply data to solve business solutions
• Continuously ensure team remains abreast of latest technology and tools in the area of data science

Academic qualifications and certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or related in a relevant field such Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science etc.
• Relevant programming certification(s)
• Agile certification preferable

Required work experience:

• Demonstrable experience with one or more programming languages (e.g. Python), statistical packages (e.g. R), and database languages (e.g. SQL)
• Demonstrable experience with data warehouse and data lake technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT, and reporting/analytic tools
• Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab, etc. (excellence in at least one of these is highly desirable)
• Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc
• Demonstrable experience in data modelling
• Demonstrable experience applying statistical methods and machine learning techniques to solve business problems
• Demonstrated experience with distributed data/computing tools such as Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, MySQL, etc.
• Experience in working in micro-services architecture working with APIs development
• Demonstrable experience of full-stack software development with prolific coding abilities
• Demonstrable experience in Elastic search, Scoring, and recommendation on very large volumes of data
• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies and Test-Driven Development
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team of Data Scientists / Data Analysts
