• Matric (Grade 12)
• Tertiary Qualification in Logistics/ Road Transport Management

Essential Experience

• 7 years in a senior supervisory or middle management position.
• 10 Years or more experience in Logistics
• FMCG / Retail sector experience essential
• Transport/Logistics experience
• Knowledge of the NBCRFI Agreement
• Relevant Road Traffic Legislation
• Advanced Microsoft Office – Excel, Word
• Skills and Knowledge
• Proven record of an adaptable management style with good healthy employee relations
• Ability to analyse situations
• Practical approach to problem solving
• Strong communication skills (written & verbal)

Key Result Areas

• Manage the total operation of warehousing, distribution and admin for the distribution centre
• Management of picking, checking, and warehousing efficiencies
• Management of inventory
• Management of Loss control, shrinkage, and damages
• Management of Pallets
• Labour management
• Implement HOD KPI’s and monthly reviews
• Ensure all KPIs are aligned with the Distribution Centre’s strategic indicators
• Introduce Key Performance areas in the warehouse and daily KPI’s measured and updated
• Maintain Health & Safety standards
• Ensure routing and distribution efficiencies are managed to the highest level
• Asset control and management – vehicles, IT and racking.
• Investigate Loss Control and implement improvement strategies and controls
