    Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Regional Consulting Lead

    Your Role

    • The DEI Regional Consulting Lead for offices of Africa and India is a DEI Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will provide leadership consulting, thought partnership, guidance, and execution support to senior leaders, key partners, and functional teams for the purpose of implementing and continuously improving the foundation’s DEI strategic framework. This “integrator” role will require proactive collaboration with senior levels organization-wide to ensure common messaging, sensitivity and accountability.

    What You’ll Do

    • Serve as a DEI leader and subject matter expert to foster an inclusive, equitable culture by contributing perspective, insights, and knowledge; take a balanced consultative and systemic approach to support and enable leadership at all levels to lead DEI culture change across the foundation.
    • Consult with, advise, and constructively work with senior leadership and key partners/collaborators to implement, drive progress against commitments, and deliver impact against DEI division plans in alignment to organizational strategic framework and goals.
    • Provide leadership, subject matter expertise, execution support, and tools and resources across culture, talent, partnerships & voice, and leadership accountability in close partnership with regions and divisions.
    • Partner with a portfolio of division leadership and business partners to enhance regional and division talent and culture work in alignment to Human Resources (HR) and DEI priorities. Identify, recommend, and lead adoption of leading practices for equity centered policies, initiatives, tools, and resources that support systemic change management.
    • Co-design interventions with your partner groups, and deploy the resources needed to leverage (such as offering program management to support external consultants to ensure that cross-functional partners are appropriately engaged and informed, and actively resolving issues)
    • Maintain a strong awareness and knowledge base of DEI issues and trends; partner with DEI Learning & Development team to design and deploy resources for the team and across the organization to strengthen DEI competency.

    Your Capabilities

    • At least 8 years of experience in change management and/or DEI.
    • An ability to establish leadership credibility and build trusted relationships with leaders and employees at all levels of an organization to influence approach and behavior shifts.
    • Thinks critically, objectively, and strategically about opportunities and develops alternate paths to solutions.
    • An ability to connect DEI to the impact delivered by the foundation’s programs.
    • Capable of analyzing and synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources, and building coherent, insightful narratives.
    • Ability to understand and influence the design of operational processes (i.e., talent management, grant making).
    • Operates effectively in a high pressure, political, and collaborative environment.
    • Capable of using and adapting DEI expertise across multiple geographies and cultural contexts.
    • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time as required.
