MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

• Coordination of infrastructure drawings and specifications with architectural contract documents for telecommunication facilities, infrastructure design and construction.
• Ensure detailed design drawings and specifications are developed using Autodesk tools.
• Prepare straightforward 3D models and 2D detailed drawings of floor plans and data centres.
• Ensure consultation with colleagues/clients to design, layout or detail components and systems to resolve design or other problems
• Ensure that drawings are checked, approved and filed in accordance with company quality system.
• Draft and prepare layout drawings of the given structures, components and devices.
• Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are adhered to and integrated into design and procedures, design specifications and ISO standards are adhered to.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Matric qualification
• 3+ years relevant working experience
• Certified multi-disciplinary qualification
• Draughting or similar and recognised training in AutoCAD and Rivet (mandatory)
• Microsoft Office skills
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk  - Minimum of 3 years working experience
• Advanced knowledge of Parametric design principle
• Advanced knowledge of 2D and 3D packages
• Understand electrical components SLD’s (advantageous)
• Understand mechanical components for SLD’s (advantageous)
• Understand architectural components for SLD’s (advantageous)
