EMI Data Engineer at Nedbank

Job Purpose
To build, maintain, and support data pipelines that enable efficient campaigning and easy insights with a focus on data reliability and quality

Job Responsibilities

• Support existing data pipelines when required.
• Identifying areas for optimising and maintaining existing data pipelines to improve efficiencies and availability.
• Contribute towards the development and implementation of new capabilities to deliver relevant data.
• Structure data into compliance standards by adhering to metadata governance procedures according to Nedbank documented standards and formats.
• Follow proper development life cycles as agreed within the team.
• Maintain code repositories with compliance to standards, systems, processes and procedures.
• Contribute to internal/external information sharing initiatives.
• Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction with team, stakeholders, and work.
• Commit to constant personal growth and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers.

Minimum Experience Level

• 5 years in Data Engineering

Preferred Qualification

• Degree in Information Technology or Information Systems.
