Entrepreneurship Specialist at The South African Breweries (SAB)

The key responsibilities of the Barrley Technician (but not limited to):

• The primary responsibility of the entrepreneurship specialist is to look after a portfolio of up to 80 retail outlets for the year, supporting their transition to formal best in class outlets. The entrepreneurship specialist may be asked from time to time to support delivery of additional projects in the corporate affairs function ​

Entrepreneurship Training​

• Contribute in tailoring business training content for each programme needs​
• Deliver basic business training to participating entrepreneurs in premise ​
• Conduct relevant macro and micro economic research

Project Operational Support​

• Ensure compliance to all procurement processes as well as legal and compliance processes when sourcing goods/implementing partnerships​
• Support entrepreneurs in applying for licenses and gather required documentation and follow up with liquor boards​
• Report on progress on portfolio of entrepreneurs supported ​
• Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure seamless onboarding of newly licensed outlets​

Reputation & Partnership Support​

• Support the conceptualization and execution of events/campaigns around our entrepreneurial agenda​
• Develop content to share with stakeholders​
• Participate in flagships entrepreneurial events​
• Roles and responsibilities may vary based on support needs from the team​

The ideal candidate is someone who holds a B.Tech (Engineering or Science) OR equivalent qualification.

Miminum requirements include (but not limited to):

• Degree in Finance, Business or related field preferred​
• Very rigorous and good attention to detail​
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills​
• Advanced PowerPoint Skills​
  • Solid knowledge of SAP​
  • Financial acumen preferred​
• Solid stakeholder management ability​
• Independent worker and self starter​
• High energy levels – Self motivated​
• Ability to work in a team environment​
• Good interpersonal skills/ ability to work with people at various levels of the business​
• Experience in sales​
• Experience in delivering trainings preferred​
• Driving license
