As Event Co-ordinator you’ll support the Event Manager in developing and delivering events, groups and banqueting operations. You’ll assist with planning, sales, reporting and coordination, ensuring service standards are met across events, dining and group bookings.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with product development, budgets and sales targets for events and groups
Act as first point of contact in the absence of the Event Manager
Support food & beverage operations including dining room setup and service levels
Coordinate with service, kitchen and front office teams on reservations and special events
Prepare reports, maintain records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Manage relationships with external suppliers and internal teams
Provide booking support for hotel facilities and activities
Monitor industry trends and recommend improvements
Handle guest needs, complaints and requests promptly
Schedule staff hours, assist with recruitment, training and performance appraisals
What We’re Looking For
Grade 12 and a relevant events qualification
Diploma or degree in hospitality or project management advantageous
2–3 years’ experience in a similar industry
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
A collaborative leader with guest-centred service focus
