    Executive Recruiter - Cape Town

    Role Overview:

    As an Executive Recruiter at Progressive Edge, you will play a pivotal role in helping us find the perfect senior to executive-level candidates for our clients, and for your own clients, doing so with high quality as you build your reputation and represent the business's values. We're not your typical recruitment agency; we prioritize quality over quantity, and we're on a mission to discover top-tier talent and top-tier clients who share our commitment to excellence. You'll be entrusted with complex roles that require a deep understanding of business contexts, technology landscapes, and executive-level requirements. To excel in this role, you need to be a seasoned recruiter, polished, reliable, and dependable. Your background should provide you with broad experience and contexts. You should be proactive, making things happen rather than waiting for them, and capable of guiding clients, candidates, and colleagues. Ideally, you strike a balance between being approachable, accommodating, and professional, while also being firm when necessary.

    As an executive recruiter, you will work on both contingency and retained searches and treat them with equal care. You will be a trusted advisor to both clients and candidates and will go the extra mile to meet and exceed reasonable expectations on both sides of the hiring equation, for candidates and clients alike.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Your responsibilities will be focused on three areas: Clients, Candidates, and Progressive Edge's internal operations.

    • Collaborate with the business to become the go-to team for our type of clients seeking high-level positions.
    • Assist in further developing and nurturing our client base.
    • Ensure that your efforts enhance the client's impression of our brand as reliable, trusted advisors, and successful 'deliverers' of their important needs.
    • Work closely with clients to thoroughly understand their hiring needs, including participating in client discovery sessions.
    • Identify, attract, and engage high-calibre executive-level and senior-level candidates.
    • Develop detailed recruitment plans and follow them through to successful completion, adjusting as needed. Maintain meticulous tracking to enable reporting and continuous improvement.
    • Rigorously track processes on internal systems to gather data for metrics reporting.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and candidates.
    • Ensure successful placements for the roles you are entrusted with.
    • Generate new business through existing clients and new clients.
    • Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' experience, culture fit, and qualifications.
    • Provide candidates with insightful guidance and support throughout the hiring process.
    • Maintain the highest level of professionalism, ethics, and quality in all interactions.
    • Contribute to reporting efforts.
    • Contribute to the internal culture and growth strategy of the business.
    • Collaborate with your internal team to continuously refine and enhance internal processes and systems.

    Requirements:

    • 6+ years solid recruitment experience, but preferably closer to 10 years. Proven experience in reliable delivery in a senior to executive-level recruitment role, preferably within the technology sector.
    • Your more recent experience will need to be focused more on EXTERNAL (Agency) recruitment than internal, there are many reasons for this request and we cannot negotiate on this requirement.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Exemplary writing skills, including impeccable spelling and grammar, and the ability to convey all written communications in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ability to influence, guide, and contribute.
    • Ethical, professional, and emotionally intelligent.
    • Recent stable work history and a proven track record of delivering long-term value to companies (essential).
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage complex recruitment processes.
    • Ability to recruit for complex roles.
    • Ability to take on technology-related roles in new areas and extract the necessary information to fully understand the requirements.
    • Ability to manage your own targets and desk without the need for micro-management.
    • Ability to set and follow your own tasks.
    • Strong business acumen and understanding of technology organizations.
    • Commitment to quality and a reputation for excellence (essential).
    • This role is only open to candidates based in SA.
    • We can only consider candidates with over 6 years in a recruitment or resourcing position.
