Finance Manager (Stay in) (JB3793) at Kontak Recruitment

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Financial Accounting
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in Finance, with Hospitality experience being an advantage
• Experience in Inventory and Asset management
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct ERP System, Pastel Evolution (Asset Model), and Opera

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Submit monthly payroll information to the General Manager for approval
• Prepare month-end Trial balance and month-end packs, including management reports and TV packs
• Update Pastel with supplier invoices, bank movements, payments, depreciation journal, prepayments, provisions, accruals, and payroll
• Generate monthly forecasts and cash flow statements
• Prepare monthly balance sheets and suppliers’ reconciliations
• Maintain the assets register and depreciation files
• Update daily revenue journals and account for them in Pastel
• Approve and check weekly revenue forecasts before submissions
• Assist the General Manager on all financial and operating issues
• Manage weekly cash flow and loading of approved payments
• Complete the annual budget.
• Submit all statutory returns (VAT, UIF, ROE, EMP501) to SARS and other statutory bodies.
• Liaise with year-end statutory audits.
• Coordinate with the Group Human Resources Department for complaints.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure stock files are up to date and perform monthly stock takes.
• Manage outstanding debtors and creditors of the property.
• Develop and manage financial systems/models.
