    General Manager

    Optimi is looking for a customer-centric senior manager, with strong operational and leadership skills to head up learning delivery to distance learners, as well as at site-based venues. The person will lead a team of educational specialists and managers at Campus facilities, responsible for scalable learning delivery across the Optimi Home business. The Head of Learning Delivery will also be responsible for driving the establishment of site-based venues across SA.

    Requirements:

    •        Honour’s degree related to the position.
    •        A Minimum of 10 years’ experience (of which at least 5 in a manager position).
    •        Management Consulting experience beneficial.
    •        Management exposure in a learning / educational environment
    •        Must be computer Literate. (MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
    •        Must be excellent in English. (Written and Verbal)
    •        Must have strong organizational and planning skills.

    Duties:

    •        Create and implement scalable strategies for optimal learning delivery of high quality at various Optimi Campus facilities             as well as distance learning learners from Gr R- 12.
    •        Overall responsibility for implementation of learning models in all Home offerings and all learning delivery in Optimi Home.
    •        Create a strategy to improve the quality of all academic offerings in Optimi Home in collaboration with other Heads (e.g.             Products, Digital Content, Assessment services, and Client Engagement).
    •        Drive educational specialists to take ownership of subjects and come up with innovative ideas.
    •        Develop and maintain staff training where deemed necessary.
    •        Drive collaboration and effective communication with teams on all matters affecting operations.
    •        Preparing and administering annual strategy and budgeting process for the department.
    •        Review and monitor team managers’ performance (including performance reviews.)
    •        Manage internal ad-hoc improvement projects.

    The position is based in Centurion.
