    Global Technical Service Engineer

    Mission

    • To be responsible for the resolution of technical issues and technical training for the Epiroc Drilling Solutions Product through close cooperation with all stake holders including, the Epiroc Drilling Solutions Product Company, Customer Centers, Dealers and end users. Provide high quality communication, technical support, training material for the related products.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical support to external customers.
    • Communicate with engineering as well as vendors to resolve quality issues.
    • Prepare Training material on the repair and maintenance of all Epiroc Drilling Solutions products. The focus of training will be for internal Customer center personnel and customers.
    • Take an active role in new product development working closely with the engineering group to ensure you are fully conversant with all facets of the machines function, maintenance and operation.
    • Provide rig commissioning and training ensuring that the supporting Customer Center has the necessary knowledge and skill to provide ongoing world class support.
    • Actively track the performance of new product ensuring quality feedback provided to engineering including but not limited to, lower than expected component life’s, opportunities to improve design and structural areas that need improvement.
    • Communicate all relevant product technical service issues within the service and engineering group.
    • Prepare necessary information as requested whether routine or for special occasions.
    • Always be courteous and professional in all communications.
    • Extensive travel requirement for extended periods of up to two 4 weeks to support new product deliveries throughout the world.

    Competences, Skills & Experience:

    • Experience in trouble shooting Hydraulic, low voltage electrics, air systems and RCS systems.
    • An understanding of computers and associated systems (MS Office, Excel, Word, etc.).
    • High Voltage electrical experience advantageous but not essential
    • 5-10 years technical service experience.
    • Be willing to travel as and when needed.

    Educational Qualifications:

    • BS Engineering (Mechanical) or the equivalent relevant work experience
