Halaal Food Service Assistant - Park Town at Tsebo Solution

• TsAfrika is looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Halaal Food Service Assistant to support daily food service operations within a Halaal-compliant environment. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, serving meals, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and ensuring all food handling practices adhere to Halaal requirements and company procedures. The role requires a team player with excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering a positive dining experience.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Assist with the preparation and serving of Halaal meals and beverages.
• Ensure all food handling and preparation processes comply with Halaal standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of serving areas, kitchen equipment, and dining facilities.
• Follow food safety, health, and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Replenish food and beverage stations as required.
• Assist with stock control, receiving, and storage of supplies.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Support the catering team during events and peak service periods.
• Operate equipment safely and report any maintenance concerns.
• Adhere to Tsebo and TsAfrika policies, procedures, and values.

Qualifications    

• Matric or Grade 12
• Related Qualification (Advantageous)
• 1 - 2 years experience in food service, catering, hospitality, or a related environment.
• Experience working in a Halaal food environment will be advantageous.
• Understanding of Halaal food regulations and food safety standards.
• Ability to follow procedures, maintain accurate records and conduct inspections.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
