Head of Corporate Broking and JSE Sponsor Services - Sandton at Absa Group Limited (Absa)

Job Description

• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with selected corporate clients, along with greater IBD.
• Providing ongoing capital market advice to clients.
• Acting as the main interface with the stock market regulators (the JSE in relation to SA, and where appropriate leveraging this experience to other listing jurisdictions).
• Assessing market conditions, the demand for a company’s shares and in conjunction with equity syndicate and corporate access actively marketing the company to potential investors, delivering high-quality and innovative solutions to clients.
• Engaging with Markets / Equity Syndicate, to be able to engage on relevant global market information to clients including demand for a company’s shares, investor flows and what clients can do to optimize shareholder relations.
• Providing continuous market feedback, investor and stakeholder engagement and optimizing corporate access as part of ongoing client relationship building i.e. not deal specific.
• Investor targeting and Benchmarking analyses as part of client’s ongoing shareholder register management and targeting.
• Acting as a key liaison between the client and the bank’s broader services, especially related to market interactions in collaboration with Equity Syndicate, and potential corporate finance transactions.
• Managing and supervise the JSE Sponsor team.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
• The JSE Sponsor team will report into the Head of Corporate Broking.

Education

• Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
