As Head of Technical Operations, you will drive the technical vision and lead the delivery of robust, scalable, and secure supply chain technologies — both software and hardware.
You’ll oversee four critical functions: Software Development, AI & Automation, IT Infrastructure & Security, and R&D, each led by expert Department Heads.
This role demands a strategic leader who thrives on innovation, excels at managing multi-disciplinary teams, and is passionate about transforming complex industrial environments.
You’ll play a key part in shaping future-ready solutions that deliver real commercial value to clients in a high-stakes, asset-heavy sector.
Experience
10–15 years in progressive technical roles within technology-driven industries.
5–7 years in senior technology leadership (e.g., CTO, VP Engineering).
Proven success managing cross-functional teams in complex environments.
Strong preference for mining, supply chain, logistics, or heavy industry exposure.
Technical Skills
Full-stack software and cloud-native architecture expertise.
Experience in AI/ML deployment, automation, and predictive analytics.
Knowledge of IoT/embedded systems and industrial hardware.
Advanced IT infrastructure and cybersecurity capabilities.
R&D leadership from concept to commercialisation.
Preferred Skills
Master’s degree (MBA or MSc) and certifications in AI, cloud, or cybersecurity.
In-depth knowledge of Southern Africa’s mining and logistics sectors.
Familiarity with regulatory and operational challenges in heavy industries.
