    HR Data Analytics and Insights Specialist

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:

    Data Management and Planning

    • Establish and proactively drive the data management capability and processes
    • Act as a thought leader in defining the data priorities and data roadmap for HR
    • Create analytical models to ensure relevant predictive insights
    • Collect, compile, and collate data from all available data points
    • Ensure data is available, reliable, consistent and accurate to support data analysis
    • Manage and monitor data integrity and accuracy
    • Develop an audit schedule to review the integrity of data
    • Ensure data integration across all systems
    • Provide guidance on data storage, analysis and exploitation for HR’s benefit
    • Design, implement and test new data capture and report delivery systems
    • Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of data management capabilities and processes are continuously enhanced and improved
    • Research industry leading trends and new data management technologies
    • Oversee the development of new data analytics capabilities within the HR space

    Data Analysis, Insights and Reporting

    • Focus on raw internal data exploration, diagnostic analytics and value-added data quality
    • Produce data sets and analysis reports
    • Analyse and interpret data and information from all available sources to identify opportunities to enhance HR processes and create value
    • Ensure timely delivery of data-driven insights and recommendations
    • Lead data analytics and metrics to ensure standardisation
    • Provide reports on the quantitative and qualitative interpretation of results to provide actionable insights
    • Create accurate, effective and efficient reporting cycles
    • Set-up and maintain standardised reports and dashboards
    • Design and implement reporting dashboards that track key metrics and trends in HR
    • Establish and diagnose reasons for reporting irregularities and provide recommendations for improvement

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders as a means to ensure objectives are met
    • Partner effectively with relevant stakeholders to determine key data points and metrics
    • Build cross-functional relationships and encourage collective accountability
    • Advise, influence and make presentations at all levels across the business
    • Proactively manage stakeholder updates and communication of key data-driven processes and practices
    • Partner with cost accountant and SMEs

    ROI Models

    • Design and develop ROI models to measure the return and/or gain
    • Compare returns from several investments
    • Monitor progress and suggest adaptations, where necessary
    • Utilise metrics as defined by ROI models to assess value creation and achievement of results/outcomes

    • Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained
    • Demonstrate consistent application of internal procedures
    • Plan and prioritise, demonstrating abilities to manage competing demands
    • Demonstrate abilities to anticipate and manage change
    • Demonstrate flexibility in balancing achievement of own objectives with abilities to understand and respond to organisational needs

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Analytics or related field
    • 5-8 years’ experience in data analysis and insights
