    Human Capital Specialist - Business Partner

    Job Description

    • Motus Aftermarket Parts is searching for the Human Capital Specialist/HR Business Partner (HRBP), who will act as a trusted adviser and strategic partner to assigned business units. The role is responsible for delivering end‑to‑end HR support, driving people initiatives, and ensuring alignment to organisational policies, labour legislation, and business objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Employee Relations & HR Advisory

    • Provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and labour legislation.
    • Coach line managers on people management, performance, discipline, and grievance handling.
    • Support compliance with labour legislation, industry agreements, audits, and inspections.
    • Represent the organisation at CCMA/DRC conciliations and arbitrations where required.

    Industrial Relations & Compliance

    • Manage disciplinary processes, grievances, disputes, and union interactions.
    • Prepare IR documentation and reports, including hearings and labour engagements.
    • Collaborate on Section 189 and Section 197 processes.

    Talent Management & Onboarding

    • Partner with recruitment teams and managers to support workforce planning and hiring.
    • Support EE‑aligned recruitment and monitor progress against employment equity targets.
    • Facilitate onboarding and induction for new employees, learners, and acquisitions.
    • Support talent retention, career development, and employee value proposition initiatives.

    Learning, Performance & Development

    • Conduct training needs analysis in consultation with line managers.
    • Support learning and development initiatives and annual training plans.
    • Promote a learning culture through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning support.

    Employment Equity & Diversity

    • Support the development and implementation of Employment Equity plans (EEA12 & EEA13).
    • Drive awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
    • Ensure EE committees are established, functional, and trained in line with legislation.

    HR Reporting & Analytics

    • Compile and submit monthly and quarterly HR reports (headcount, movement, compliance).
    • Ensure accurate HR data and timely submission of statutory and internal reports.

    Team & Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Provide guidance and support to HC Officers and HC Administrators.
    • Build strong relationships with business leaders and HR colleagues.
    • Participate in HR projects such as learner programmes, organisational changes, and acquisitions.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Matric (NQF 4).
    • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Management, or related field.
    • Registration with SABPP (preferred).

    Experience

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
    • Proven experience across employee relations, industrial relations, learning & development, and performance management.
    • Exposure to unionised environments and labour forums (CCMA).
    • Experience within the motor or manufacturing industry will be advantageous.

    Legal & Other Requirements

    • Valid driver’s licence.
    • Clear criminal record.
