JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key performance areas include but not limited to:

• Proven expertise in converting concept drawings to CAD and creating engineering drawings for varied manufacturing methods.
• Apply industrial engineering technical design specifications, including comprehensive engineering design characteristics, to available additive manufacturing (3D Printing) technologies.
• Contribute to the solution of the design phase of the product development cycle by addressing the broad engineering challenges as presented by clients.
• Assist Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) team in experimental/research procedures contributing to technical problem solving, thereby assisting in achieving the research or client objective.
• Ensure the completion of assigned projects and tasks on schedule and budget.
• Assist line manager to meet the requirements in relation to cost containment and unit performance.

APPLICATION CRITERIA:

Qualification and Experience:

• B Tech/Honours Degree in Industrial Design/Mechanical Engineering majoring in design
• Advanced knowledge of SolidWorks and SolidEdge CAD software.
• Basic experience in metal casting, including metal casting mould design.
• Minimum of 4-6 years working experience, with at least 4 years of relevant experience in engineering field majoring in technical drawing and design.
• Good knowledge of advanced manufacturing technology.
• Driver’s license
