    IT Site Systems Technician

    Job Description    
    This position is responsible for the management of IT Site support within Premier by providing a reliable, timeous and efficient support function across all divisional departments.

    Responsibilities:

    •  Maintain and administer computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, all configurations and all varieties of windows (incl. Server). Including remote, local and mobile user support including all IT peripherals.
    •  Responsible for the provision of I.T. infrastructure services including desktop applications, Local and/or Wide area network I.T. security.
    •  Ensuring all user documents and server applications are backed up within guidelines defined by Premier policy
    •  Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and ensure technicians replace defective IT equipment when necessary.
    •  Implement security measures as per Premier policy to protect data, software, and hardware.
    •  Configure, and test computer hardware and operating system software.
    •  Maintain local Microsoft environment and all common office applications and utilities
    •  Working with management to propose, agree and deliver I.T. service to defined Service Level Agreements.
    •  Informing management of I.T. hardware, software and maintenance procurement requirements.
    •  Coordinate and document the project analysis process in Azure Dev Ops for all site I.T related projects.
    •  Implement policies, processes and procedures for all I.T. requirements and practices.
    •  Ensure successful documentation of newly implemented I.T. systems or procedures.
    •  Evaluate and implement new technologies and IT concepts as proposed by Premier IT
    •  Support company and IT Infrastructure with minimum downtime
    •  Report all hardware faults timeously with vendors
    •  Adhere to change control policy.
    •  Ensure suppliers comply to SLA's
    •  Support VoIP and Cellular issues. Initial support of the onsite VoIP and telephone management system before escalation to the VoIP provider.
    •  Handling calls logged at the call centre for that region. Ownership of the call from logging to closure and ensure helpdesk system compliance
    •  Management and backup of the servers on site. Initial trouble shooting before escalation.
    •  Management of assets including tracking, disposure, control and Fixed Assets register updates
    •  Initial support of the biometrics systems before escalation.
    •  Ensuring proper business usage of the network. Logging calls with the cabling supplier for installation as well as break and fix management of network points.
    •  Asset Management of all IT assets and documentation to be maintained
    •  Site Audit to be done monthly (CCTV, Biometrics, all IT Hardware, etc.)
    •  Tally Checks to be conducted and ensure functionality of all printers and that backup printer is available and working.
    •  Tally Checks – Ribbon life, printer status, UPS connectivity and test that invoices, payslips and creditors document print 100%.
    •  Check tonner levels for all site printers and make sure stock levels is maintained by supplier.
    •  Ensuring proper business usage of the WAN. Ensure calls are logged with the network provider for all line issues
    •  Keep SharePoint up to date with site documentation.
    •  Do a site walk daily to make sure all users are working and find out if there are any issues.
    •  Check that all network cabinets have power and connectivity and are kept clean and tidy.
    •  Call remote sites to check if they are working properly and if they have any issues
    •  Making sure that all Boardroom projectors working and that iPads are connected on Team Site to be able to sync daily meetings
    •  Making sure all TV’s are running and that Appspace is updating latest content where applicable.
    •  Creating Premier New users on AAD with mailboxes.
    •  Check biometric readers are online and ensure correct action if any problems encountered.
    •  Ensure that the device engine is running on Jarrison time or relevant biometric system.
    •  Communicate to staff on their IT issues logged
    •  Do thorough checks before calling cabling contractor to repair issues that can be resolve internally.
    •  Checking of backups (Jarrison & NAS devices if any)
    •  Ensure all admin work is up to date
    •  Check that Agris machines are online.
    •  Document Site assets
    •  Clean all Network Cabinet and server rooms monthly and provide evidence.
    •  Label cabinets and provide diagrams for easy site assistance and put on cabinets
    •  Assist with any CCTV related issues and check that 30 day old footage, is available.
    •  Pin codes for office printers to be implemented where applicable.
    •  Keep up to date with training and certifications
    •  Support PLC network and assist with trouble shooting where necessary
    •  Managing 3rd party vendors
    •  Initial support of the onsite VoIP system.
    •  Be willing to travel to Premier sites for onsite support.
    •  Keep good communication with the relevant site managers

    Qualification Requirements    
    Qualifications:

    •  Microsoft information systems qualification (MCITP)

    Experience Requirements    
    Experience:

    •  A minimum of 5 years practical experience
    •  Experience in in-house software, hardware and operating systems
    •  Excellent knowledge of Windows 365 environment.
    •  Experience in Active Directory.
    •  Excellent knowledge of Windows cloud services offerings.
    •  Excellent knowledge of Windows office offerings.
    •  Good knowledge in network configurations and troubleshooting.
    •  Experience of managing projects for department.
    •  Experience in I.T. infrastructure planning and development
    •  Experience in firewall security
    •  Experience in Network software, hardware and operating systems

    Key Outputs    
    Competencies (knowledge, skills and attributes):

    •  Knowledge of Wireless, Local and Wide area networks.
    •  Knowledge of Routers.
    •  Knowledge of Switches
    •  Knowledge of Wireless networks
    •  Knowledge in network configurations and troubleshooting.
    •  Knowledge of VoIP technology
    •  Knowledge in firewalling and security.
    •  Experience in I.T. Network infrastructure planning and development.
    •  Strong team skills.
