Junior Finance Clerk at Amrod

Minimum Skills and Knowledge Required

• Standard 10 / Grade 12 or equivalent
• Formal qualification in accounting advantageous
• Strong accounting background plus minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position and environment
• Proficiency in Business English
• Computer literacy, including MS Office and Pastel accounting (or similar)
• Syspro experience would be advantageous.

Brief Description of Key Performance Area

• Confirmation of payments
• Card payments allocation
• Manage internal accounts – recon and allocations.  
• Update client details
• Manage and allocate age analysis.
• Process manual invoices, credit notes and debit notes.
• Investigate internal accounts queries.
• Financial reporting
• Assist COD team with accounts queries.
• General assistance to Supervisor and team members
• Ensure that all tasks are executed in a safe manner with due regard for Amrod’s policies and procedures, regulations specific to the use of equipment and products and regulations prescribed by the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Report unsafe acts / working conditions / injury on duty to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards.
