Junior Manager / Operator: Crop Division - Dreyer & Dreyer Farm at VKB Group

Job Description: 

• We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Junior Manager to join our Crop Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, supporting senior management, and ensuring the efficient functioning of our crop activities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the Crop Division together with the owner – includes planting-, spraying- and harvesting process
• Inspection of crops and diagnosis of possible problems
• Manage and maintain equipment
• Fire management and fire prevention
• Support senior management with strategic planning and implementation.
• Ensure all crop activities are carried out to the highest standards.
• Manage team and resources to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Prepared to assist in other departments of the farm on ad-hoc basis
• General assistance to the management team
• General farm work

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / NQF 4
• A degree/diploma in Agriculture, Management, or a related field is advantageous
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the agricultural sector.
• Understanding and knowledge of machine systems
• Knowledge of Conservation Farming
• Driver’s License (Code 14 recommended)
