You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and securing new business opportunities in the marine bunkering sector.
Based in Cape Town, the role requires a South African citizen with a commercial or technical degree, with a background in sales or marketing
You will have at least 5 years of relevant post-graduation experience in sales, particularly in marine bunkering/ international bunker trading.
Understanding the fundamentals of pricing and hedging is essential.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential. You must demonstrate strong communication, administrative skills, and an energetic, results-driven approach, with the ability to work independently while maintaining a strategic, customer-focused outlook.
Key responsibilities include managing customer relationships, ensuring compliance with pricing and competition law, handling deal confirmations, and liaising with the head office for international sales.
The role also involves site visits across major South African ports and the development of business plans and budgets, tracking sales targets, and ensuring efficient logistical coordination with the Bunker Controllers and Harbour Marine Teams.
