Junior System Programmer (Capacity)

Purpose of the job
- Provision of capacity planning for mainframe services and the proactive monitoring of mainframe capacity requirements.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Proactive monitoring of hardware and system software.
- Performance tuning and monitoring.
- Configuration management (Configuration updates, hardware configuration, documentation).
- Capacity monitoring.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum: 1 - 2 years National Higher Certificate in a relevant Information Technology discipline / NQF level 5 or accredited specialised courses.
- Added Advantage: - Relevant mainframe certification, e.g. IBM z/OS Certification and IBM CICS courses, etc.
- Experience: 2 - 3 years practical work experience on mainframe platform.

- z/OS basic knowledge, capacity planning and other software tools, Performance and Tuning.
