    Learning Center Manager

    About the job

    • The Student Hub Online, a fast-growing EdTech company, are looking for an experienced and dynamic Learning Centre Coordinator (preferably one with experience at Western Cape TVET Colleges) who are flexible to travel around the country. This is a full-time position based at our Head Office in Cape Town and we invite applications from the Cape Town area.
    • The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. Leadership abilities and phenomenal efficiency can set you apart among our candidate pool.
    • The goal is to ensure that the operations run smoothly with a drive to build learning centres around the country.

    Duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to)

    •  Identifying campuses that have space to be turned into learning centres
    •  Administrate assessments
    •  Project manage the entire renovation projects
    •  Create and manage the budget for the projects
    •  Relationship management with the College stakeholders
    •  Source suppliers and contractors for the projects
    •  Create a contractor and supplier database for future projects
    •  Coordinate examination assessment services
    •  Management of the centres once completed and in use
    •  Engage DHET on proposed projects
    •  Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
    •  Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
    •  Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
    •  Handle insurance plans and service contracts
    •  Perform analysis and forecasting
    •  Feasibility, compliance, and quality checks of external learning centres nationally
    •  Administration and management of external learning centre venues nationally

    Requirements

    •  Certificate or equivalent in Health and Safety
    •  Project Management qualification an added advantage
    •  Proven experience in facilities and/or examination administration (public TVET Colleges.)
    •  Flexible to travel around the country.
    •  Methodical approach to work
    •  Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
    •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    •  Excellent organizational and leadership skills
    •  Good analytical/critical thinking
