Emeris Newlands has a vacancy for a part-time lecturing post in the following:

Faculty: School of Management studies:

• Module: MAKT6212: Marketing 2B

Key Performance Areas:

• Preparation, conducting of lectures, tutorials, workshops.
• Providing study guidance, learning support, consultation and mentoring of students;
• Initiation and development of module materials, including on-line materials;
• Marking and grading of student assessments;
• Module coordination and quality assurance;
• A range of administrative functions connected to the discipline and modules being taught;
• Other duties commensurate to the position as required.

Other Job Requirements:

• Demonstrate capability to lecture at tertiary level in an effective manner in the core courses stipulated at the highest academic level;
• Expertise in e-learning programs such as Blackboard and Moodle;
• Demonstrated capacity to design, set and evaluate assessments at the appropriate level for the courses stipulated;
• High level of communication skills in verbal, written and electronic modes; and
• Proven high-level administrative abilities.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Ideal:

• Honours in Marketing

 Alternatively:

• Honours in one of the Business-related fields (e.g. economics, entrepreneurship, risk, supply chain or project management) – with Marketing to the third-year level
•  A bachelor’s degree with Marketing or a similarly related field (e.g. entrepreneurship, risk, supply chain or   project management) to the third-year level PLUS either an MBA or a   postgraduate diploma in business or education.
