Logistics Superintendent at Hire Resolve

Description:

• Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Logistics Superintendent to join their mining company based in North-West. You will be responsible for leading logistics and supply chain operations to ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective movement, storage and control of materials while maintaining compliance with operational and SHEQ requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage inbound and outbound logistics activities to ensure the efficient movement of materials and products.
• Oversee inventory control, stock reconciliations and accurate inventory management.
• Coordinate transportation activities and monitor logistics schedules to support operational requirements.
• Coordinate and manage diesel deliveries and fuel supply to ensure operational continuity.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards, company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor and manage the logistics team, including performance management, training and employee development.
• Monitor logistics performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency and service delivery.
• Maintain accurate logistics records, reports and operational documentation.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective supply chain and logistics performance.
• Support cost control initiatives and ensure the effective utilisation of logistics resources.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field
• Minimum 3 years' experience in logistics or supply chain operations within a mining environment
• Experience managing logistics operations, inventory control and transportation activities
• Strong understanding of SHEQ principles and operational compliance
• Valid Driver's License
