• The purpose of the position is to constantly look for new ways to improve the financial health of the company, using their in-depth understanding of finances, facts, and figures to optimize operations and deliver accurate and timeous management and financial reports.

Minimum Requirements    

• Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., BCom Management Accounting or BCompt)
• CIMA/CA will be an advantage.
• At least 3 years relevant experience
• Advanced Computer Literacy: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, etc.
• Syspro experience will be an advantage.
• Detail orientated and analytical.

• Cost (direct costs, indirect costs, fixed costs, variable costs, inventoriable costs)
• Contribution margin
• Break Even point formula.
• Cost accounting analysis
• Activity-based costing (ABC)
• Gross margin and contribution margin

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Production cost analysis
• Budget and forecast control.
• Assets and Capex
• Develop and implement stock control measures.
• Cost/expenses monitoring for all departments.
• Identifying cost saving initiatives
• Handle and solve finance related queries.
• Identify and implement new procedures and internal controls.
• Prepare month-end & year-end journals.
• Assist with balance sheet monthly recons.
• Prepare and analyze month-end financials and management reports.
• Supply briefly reasons for deviations to budget & forecast and recommend improvements.
• Finding and including suitable cost drivers
• Compile and assist with monthly & yearly budget and forecast.
