Delivery of high priority HR related projects against specified strategies, objectives and measures
Facilitate and support HR strategic initiatives such as Organisational Development to drive business performance, Organisational Culture, Talent Management and Performance Management
Align HR policies and procedures with the organization’s vision and mission
Manage and implement annual salary reviews processes
Administer employee benefits programs that enhance employee well-being and retention
Lead a cost effective recruitment and selection process, ensuring quality and diversity of talent
Comply with labour laws and regulations, and handle employment contracts, terminations, and employee relations effectively
Oversee the HRIS system and safeguard data accuracy, integrity and privacy
Guide and support HR team, providing training and development, performance feedback, and goal alignment
Analyse and advise management on remuneration, salary bench marking, industry HR trends, sick leave, labour turnover, staff morale, best practices, (etc.)
Support employee engagement initiatives that cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment and a consistent people experience
Promote and support the Company’s transformation strategy and Employment Equity Plans in support of business objectives
Manage and control the HR Department budget and capex expenditure
Support line management with forecasting and planning talent pipeline and succession requirements in line with business strategy
Responsible for dispute resolutions including representing the Company at the CCMA, union liaison and management
Required skills:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR Operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
At least 7 years’ experience with VIP SAGE / Workday or a similar system
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
Knowledge of HR best practices and trends, and familiarity with HR software and systems
Proven experience in employee benefits management
Strong understanding of labour laws and regulations
Excellent leadership and people management skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Desired skills:
Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures
A wide knowledge of remuneration principles and practices as well as job grading systems
Good knowledge of the relevant labour and regulatory frameworks
Experience in and knowledge of Bargaining Councils
Knowledge of emerging trends in HR and utilising a variety of HR tools / models to achieve results
Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Sound knowledge of recruitment and general HR practices
Excellent negotiation skills
Able to handle diversity issues appropriately
Excellent communications, presentation, business writing and interpersonal skills
Expert Excel knowledge and experience will be an advantage
