Planner EAM at De Beers Group

The Planner EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) will be responsible for the technical EAM systems configuration and management of the planned maintenance programme for Venetia mine by providing technical expertise to support maintenance and asset management executors to comply with Venetia asset management policies, strategies and procedures for the execution of maintenance of mine assets.

Job Description:
Your responsibilities will include:

• Develops business processes, roles, and responsibilities for the EAM systems
• Accountable for configuration of SAP PM technical master data and tactics to align with AOM and control weaknesses identified through internal and external audit processes
• Configures criticality matrixes for assets and ensures that equipment criticality ratings remain current and aligned with FLOC
• Configures FLOCs for assets and ensures that FLOC remains current within area of responsibility
• Configures RCM based tactics for all primary and secondary equipment in ORIEN and SAP-PM module
• Performs internal EAM systems monitoring to measure maintenance section’s compliance to work management standards and identifies non-compliant practices
• Ensures that maintenance tactics are correctly configured and followed by SAP-PM users.
• Ensures that scheduling of maintenance tactics is optimised in terms of resources and plant downtime
• Configures WEP system tactics checklists
• Ensures that all work is controlled by works orders and information loops are closed in WEP
• Liaises with Planned Maintenance Officers and Foremen to confirm that all technical manuals and documents are up to date for registered equipment
• Provides maintenance history master data sets for external auditors and defect elimination interventions
• Enforces change management control for SAP PM Technical Master data
• Purging of expired master data
• Changing of asset tactics
• Disposal of assets
• Registration of new assets
• Leads asset management digitalisation of work management Configures and tests digitalisation integration with SAP PM – CITEC, AMPLA, ORIEN, ASSETWISE, ASPENTECH, ANGLO OM PORTAL
• Ensures equipment technical information is captured and managed in a controlled electronic environment (SAP Technical Masterdata)
• Ensures criticality matrixes are developed and updated for process machinery in areas of responsibility
• Ensures that appropriate maintenance tactics are developed for all new equipment in ORIEN before commissioning
• Participate and capture primary equipment tactics in ORIEN, upload into SAP and create associated maintenance plans
• Create secondary equipment tactics in ORIEN, upload into SAP and create associated maintenance plans
• Provides super user expertise for EAM systems to users
• Actively manages the training program of planning personnel in WEP, Warranty Management
• Ensures critical spare parts lists are correctly configured and updated in SAP-PM
• Ensures that a material management strategy is correctly configured in SAP
• Actively supports the codification and bills of material initiatives
• Interrogates SAP technical maintenance data and produces monthly asset optimisation reports for senior management
• Interrogates SAP maintenance data and produces monthly OM KPI reports for departmental heads
• This role is at a Band 7 Level reporting to the Superintendent Enterprise Asset Management

Qualifications:
Formal qualifications:

• Grade 12 / N3 / Equivalent NQF Level 4
• Trade Certificate with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Artisan, OR
• N6 or S4 or B-Tech in Engineering discipline with a minimum of 2 years’ experience post qualification maintenance or asset management environment.

 Additional requirements:

• Valid EB / Code 8 Drivers License
• Min of 3 years as a Planner or Asset Management Practitioner with SAP-PM and EAM systems experience at configuration level
• Must be proficient in Rylson8/Orien system
• Medical Certificate of Fitness to work underground
• The post is dependent on the successful completion of the Company’s pre-employment protocol such as qualifications’ verification, relevant psychometric assessments and a clear security clearance
