    Cost & Financial Acountant (FIFO)

    Job Description:
    As the Cost & Financial Account, your role would be to execute the necessary financial activities in the department and ensure the application of sound accounting practices.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Co-ordinating Strategic Business Planning budgeting process.
    • Integrating labour analysis systems with that of the HR department.
    • Supporting processes focusing on cost control influencing expenditure flow.
    • Ensuring quantifiable and meaningful monthly off-mine reporting.
    • Managing and reviewing of Debtors & Creditors, as well as Asset Systems.
    • Ensuring costing and analysis of waste and diamond movement stock reconciliations on monthly for Forecast & Budget as well as the compilation of the financial month end report.

    Qualifications:

    Planner EAM

    The Planner EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) will be responsible for the technical EAM systems configuration and management of the planned maintenance programme for Venetia mine by providing technical expertise to support maintenance and asset management executors to comply with Venetia asset management policies, strategies and procedures for the execution of maintenance of mine assets.

    Job Description:
    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Develops business processes, roles, and responsibilities for the EAM systems
    • Accountable for configuration of SAP PM technical master data and tactics to align with AOM and control weaknesses identified through internal and external audit processes

    Job Description:
    As a Senior Security Officer, reporting into the Security Manager, you will be responsible to recognise risks associated with DBM Golf Park and DBGS Supply Chain Centre (SCC) and to establish minimum security and loss prevention standards as well as core competencies to safeguard De Beers product, people, assets, information and reputation against those with malicious intent.

    Performance and Technical Assurance Lead

    Job Description:
    This is a key technical leadership role in Exploration accountable for providing technical assurance to De Beers Exploration regarding the application of the Exploration to Mining (ETM) and Diamond Exploration Frameworks (DExF) according to established Group Technical Standards and best practice principles. The role monitors delivery against plan to ensure that Exploration can effectively execute its strategy and reports on this to various structures within De Beers and Anglo American. The role also tracks performance trends and identifies opportunities to reduce turnaround, improve effectiveness and increase the confidence in decision-making to ensure that sustainable value is delivered to De Beers.

    Key responsibilities: 

    • Provide assurance to the business in respect of technical compliance and that business-critical technical risks have been identified and that internal controls are implemented and effective in mitigating identified risks.
    • Planning, executing and reporting on internal technical assurance auditing in De Beers Exploration (including ISO17025 in laboratories).
    • Developing Technical Governance Documentation (guidelines, procedures, processes, templates, examples) to meet the requirements of the existing frameworks (DExF, ETM) and to align with the Group of Companies Technical Governance Standards, and Best Practice Principles.
    • Facilitating external technical assurance audits and associated reports.
    • Reporting in alignment with the standards of the technical assurance/governance structures of Anglo American and/or De Beers as required.
    • Continuously identify areas for improvement in terms of value-add, driving efficiencies, supporting sound decision-making and finding solutions which significantly contribute to business results and improved competitiveness.
    • Training end users and other auditors on the principles of technical assurance, the use of the tool kit, and the importance  of  accurate and  timeous  technical and project reporting in support of the DExF and ETM Frameworks.
    • Working with venture managers and project managers to enhance the application of the Technical Assurance framework by their teams and driving robust technical assurance to all level within Exploration.
    • Exploration Performance Management:  compile and synthesize the global Exploration annual KRAs in alignment to the approved business plan, and to T&S objectives.
    • Report on overall global Exploration Performance against plan, as per Group requirements.

    Qualifications:

    • BSc Honours degree in Geosciences
    • MSc/PhD (NQF 9/10) would be an advantage.
    • Registered professional in a recognised body (e.g. SACNASP) or eligible for such registration.

    Knowledge and Experience required:

    • Extensive working in the geosciences field, preferably on kimberlites or related rocks.
    • Experience in conducting exploration activities such as drilling, geophysics, sampling, technical reviews, laboratory services management, technical specialist services.
    • Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining technical standards.

    Engineering Training Officer

    Job Description:
    This role is responsible for implementing and ensuring adherence to technical training objectives

    As a Engineering Training Officer you will be responsible for;

    • Manage apprentices in own discipline, ensuring compliance to learnership requirements
    • Moderate apprentice assessments and ensure portfolio is complete and facilitate various on-mine engineering courses, i.e. hot work permits, DITLms
    • Assessment of all competency based related training and moderate POE’s

    • Actively pursue the exchange and protection of training information and data to ensure effective data and information system according to Legislative and Organizational requirements.

    • Compile and submit reports as required.
    • Executed training according to COP’S policies, procedures and group technical standards.
    • Regular inspections to ensure quality training and assisting with audits.
    • Contribute in ensuring the development and updating of engineering learning material and assessment guides for own disciplines..
    • Conduct first-line maintenance on simulators.
    • This role is in the Human Resource Department and is at a 7 level reporting to the Senior Engineering Training Officer. 

    Qualifications:

    • Grade12/N3 or relevant NQF level 4 qualification
    • Qualified Artisan (Trade Certificate as Electrician or Mechanician)
    • Certificate (L4) in ODETDP will be advantageous.
    • Coach the Learner will be advantageous.
    • Registered Assessor will be advantageous.
    • Registered moderator will be advantageous

    Experience Required:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ working experience post trade qualification

    Skills/ Competencies:

    • Experience in Engineering related equipment

    Artisan C&I Mechanician

    Job Description:

    • Contribute to a culture of zero harm by adhering to all requirements as laid down by legislation, health, safety, environmental, and security policies and procedures, and by the application of specific instructions to own work area and task completion
