Planner (Western Cape) at Stefanutti Stocks

Duties and responsibilities :

• Analyse the tender documents & compile a resource based tender programme.
• Assist with the pricing of the Preliminaries based on the programme requirements.
• Compile a method statement when required to do so.
• Assist Contract Managers and site teams in compiling the detailed construction programmes and information required schedules.
• Assist site team in regularly monitoring & updating the contract programmes.
• Assist Contract Managers and site teams with compiling the cause and effect programme to justify the extension of time claims.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements & Experience

• National Diploma in Construction Management or equivalent Civil Engineering qualification
• At least 3 years’ experience in the construction environment, perferably as a Planner
• Understanding and proven experience in interpreting the scope of work, drawings and Bill of Quantities to develop a realistic schedule per project. 
• At least 2 years’ experience with CCS/ Primavera P6 software
• Hands on experience on the procedures required to construct the most common scope items on the project.
• Knowledge of the principles used to calculate and estimate the durations and interfaces of the activities required to produce the scope of work for the project.
• Knowledge of the measurement of “End Value” and the development of quantifiable activities in a schedule.
• Experience of JBCC contract interpretations with regards to “Extension of Time Claims” and the methodologies for analysing and demonstrating impacts in the schedule and how to demonstrate it in the approved software.
• Proficient in MS Office applications such as Excel, Access, Word etc.
