Pre-Sales Specialist (Storage & Servers) at Datacentrix

Datacentrix is looking for a Pre-Sales Specialist. The person will be responsible for the pre-sales phase of a proposed solution which will include items such as pricing, design and architecture. The person will be
responsible to performing all actions required to obtain the best price from our OEM’s and distributors and ensuring that opportunities are deal registered with OEM’s and ensure CRM forecast is up to date.
The main solution areas required will be around:

• Storage and Servers from our OEM’s Lenovo, IBM, Infinidat.
• Virtualization techniques using VMware, Nutanix and other virtualization technologies.
• Working knowledge of the main Operating System Software stack that will be considered close to the box software.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Matric and Diploma/Degree in IT or Computer Science or other equivalent degree 
• Minimum 2 years hands on working experience with OEM Business Partner processes.
• Minimum 5 years work experience in Pre-Sales and Solution Architecting
• MS Excel – solid working knowledge of spreadsheets
• Financial knowledge as it relates to IT COR

Responsibilities:
Server, Storage and Infrastructure Software Consultancy:

• Architect and implement best of breed infrastructure solutions.

Reseach:

• Keep abreast of latest infrastructure, Cloud and Software developments.

Retain technical knowledge around product offerings:

• Ensures technical expertise and certification levels are up to date.

Pre-Sales Technical Authority:

• Ensures that all designs take account of client plans, strategies and policies and other relevant server, storage and virtualization standards.

Financial:

• Ensures that all proposed solutions are financially positive and adhere to the company margin principles.
