Key Performance Areas
Responsible for continuous improvement of the City's policy process in support of efficient and effective policy development
Maintain oversight of the entire policy pipeline, working across all portfolios to ensure that high priority policy items progress effectively through the policy pipeline
Coordinate resources within the Policy branch to ensure the progression of policy items through the policy pipeline
Maintain a portfolio of policy instruments for development
Develop policy training materials for the capacitation of relevant officials across the City’s departments to draft and progress policy instruments through the policy process
Develop a visual tracking tool for policy instruments
Engage transversally on policy issues with key internal and external stakeholders
Problem solve complex policy issues with stakeholders
Meet with the City’s political leadership regularly to discuss policy priorities and policy development
Provide policy support, advice and counsel to the City’s political and executive leadership
