    Principal Technician (Waste Services)

    Requirements

    • National Diploma in Built environment
    • Qualification in Project Management is advantageous
    • Eligible as a candidate Professional Technologist
    • At least 5 years’ relevant project management  experience
    • Valid driver’s license
    • SAP Literate
    • Computer Literate – MS Office Application
    • Willingness to travel extensively within the  City of Cape Town

    Key Performance Areas

    • Manage the development of infrastructure projects
    • Establishing and maintaining business relationship  with all relevant stakeholders
    • Managing the effective execution of Public/Private  Development projects of functional area in order to  maximise compliance
    • Provide Technical support by Scrutinising and evaluating designs in order to assess the impact  upon existing service infrastructure and recommending  appropriate action.
    • Supervise and control the outcomes associated with  the utilization, productivity and performance of the units’  human resources.
    • Participating in the induction programme and, providing  'on the job' training for new recruits to the department
